The Harmony Pledge is our commitment to help all children at Carlyle to develop ten characteristics for themselves, that will set them up for the future. We want them to be:
This ethos is at the heart of the academy and contributes to the shared goal of ensuring that our children move on to the next stage of their education as confident, competent learners. We want the children to be happy and excited about coming to school to learn and to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding across a wide and varied curriculum.
Message from the Principal
I am delighted and honored to be the principal of Carlyle Infant and Nursery Academy and I am very keen to get to know parents, pupils and staff and I am looking forward to working with you even more closely this year.
I have gained invaluable experience over the last 10 years in education, and with your support we will strengthen our school, where all of our children can believe, achieve and succeed.
The children have made a fantastic start to the term, and have embodied the Carlyle expectations of: Being Kind, Being Safe and Being Ready. It is clear that our children believe in themselves, achieve their targets and succeed.
We are proud of our exciting integrated INSPIRE curriculum, enriched with educational visits and learning experiences which enable learners to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. This develops essential life skills that they need for their future and supports the high standards we set for academic learning.
We place a high value on working alongside parents and are sure that by working together we will ensure your children will go on to be happy and successful learners. We are proud and privileged to have a highly committed team and community, lovely building and our extensive grounds leading to much outdoor learning including our Forest School programme.
We are a kind and caring academy who pride ourselves in always making everyone feel welcome. When you visit us, you will clearly see our determination and commitment to make the Harmony Trust values ‘Believe, Achieve, Succeed’ a reality for every pupil.
Wishing you the very best and hope to see you soon.
Mrs Sarah Curtis, Interim Principal.
